Community Invited To Learn About Potential County Inmate Support Program IRACS On June 21

WARSAW — The community is welcome to learn about a new inmate support program which may be coming to Kosciusko County.
An meeting regarding the Integrated Reentry and Correctional Support program is 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Palette, 2521 E. Center St. Warsaw.
IRACS provides peer support teams who work daily within the jail to meet people where they are in their journey. Providing recovery resources, individual and group peer support, access to treatment, vital recovery supports during reentry and system partners looking to support the needs of justice-involved individuals are key components to the IRACS program.
The Kosciusko County IRACS Committee consists of leaders from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Jail, Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Kosciusko County Jail Chemical Addiction Program, Kosciusko Coalition on Drug Education, and Living In Transition Effectively. Support is needed from the community to help implement the program.
