Unknown structure engulfed in flames.

CLAYPOOL — At approximately 5:30 p.m. June 17, Claypool Fire Department responded to a structure engulfed in flames at 4997 S. Kinsey Road, Claypool. Claypool Fire Department called for a full assist from Winona Lake Fire Department and Silver Lake Fire Department.

Representative from the Claypool Fire Department, said they were unsure what sort of structure it was before it burnt to the ground as well as what initially started it. The Claypool Fire Department was able to get in contact with the owner of the property, Tom Parker, and had said to allow it to burn because they were planning on taking it down anyway. They were told to assist with controlling the fire, as it burns, ensuring it does not spread to the wooded area surrounding the structure.
