Five Injured In Elkhart County Crash, Including Two Children

ELKHART COUNTY — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a two-vehicle crash that injured five people, including two children.
The crash occurred at 4:13 p.m. at SR 119 and CR 9.
Cristian Andrade Palacios, 36, Nappanee, suffered neck, leg and internal injuries.
Yoselin Garcia Adam, 28, Nappanee, complained of back pain.
Jonathan Adell, 5, Nappanee complained of pain.
Job Andrade Garcia, 1, Nappanee suffered a broken femur.
Lillian Coffman, 18, Goshen, suffered a broken wrist.
Palacios, driver of a 2014 Mercedes, and passengers in his vehicle Adam, Adell and Garcia were taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment. Coffman, driver of a 2020 Jeep, was taken to Goshen Hospital.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Coffman was traveling southwest on SR 119, east of CR 9. Palacios, who was traveling northeast on SR 119 west of CR 9, improperly passed another vehicle and hit Coffman’s vehicle head on.
Palacios has been cited for improper passing and never receiving a valid license.
