MENTONE — A Marion man was recently arrested on drug charges after causing a disturbance at a Mentone store.
Jordan Cornelius Tyrone Feuerstein, 27, Marion, is charged with dealing a narcotic drug, a level 4 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; and disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, both class B misdemeanors.
On June 14, Mentone’s police chief responded to a report of a man yelling and cursing at people at Raber’s Kountry Store. Upon arrival, the chief saw a man throwing items over shelves and pushing a grocery cart into coolers.
According to court documents, the chief believed the man, later identified as Feuerstein, was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. While taking him into custody, the chief found a bag containing 29 pills of fentanyl on Feuerstein’s person.
Feuerstein said he did not use the pills but planned to sell them. A Kosciusko County Jail nurse said Feuerstein’s vitals were not in the normal range and requested he be taken to a local hospital.
Feuerstein was booked in KCJ on June 14, with a $15,250 surety and cash bond.
