Two From Claypool Facing Drug Charges

CLAYPOOL — Two people from Claypool are facing charges after officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside a home.
Lance Michael Jervis, 34, 306 S. Main St., Claypool, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia with a sentence enhancement, both class A misdemeanors.
Alicia Nicole Heid, also known as Alicia Nicole Crace, 33, 306 S. Main St., Claypool, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent, both level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On June 20, officers with the Claypool Police Department, Indiana State Police, Silver Lake Police Department, and the NET 43 Drug Task Force served a search warrant at Jervis’s home. During the investigation, officers learned Jervis and Heid were living in the residence with a child.
According to court documents, upon searching the child’s room, officers found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a vape pen, and 13 THC vape cartridges. In Jervis’s and Heid’s room, officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Child Protective Services was called to the scene to arrange for the child’s placement.
Jervis has prior convictions for paraphernalia possession and dealing a controlled substance in Kosciusko County.
Both Jervis and Heid were booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 20, each with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
