SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has scheduled mobile food distributions for July.

Assorted food items are offered free of charge to those in need of food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. One box or one bag is available per household. Distribution events are drive-thru; attendees should remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk doesn’t open.

Kosciusko County

• 10 a.m. to noon Eastern Time Wednesday, July 12, at 108 S. Main St., downtown Claypool, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by Kroger with added U.S. Department of Agriculture products and will serve 200 households.
• 10 a.m. to noon ET Friday, July 21, at Metzger Trucking, 208 S. Jefferson St., Silver Lake, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by Kroger and will serve 200 households.

Elkhart County

• 10 a.m. to noon ET Monday, July 10, at Hawthorne School, 501 Lusher Ave., Elkhart, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by Costco with added USDA products and will serve 300 households.

Marshall County

• 10 a.m. to noon ET Thursday, July 20, at Bourbon Helping Hands, 204 N. Washington St., Bourbon, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Marshall County with added USDA products and will serve 200 households.
• 1-3 p.m. ET Monday, July 24, at Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Marshall County and will serve 200 households.

Elsewhere In Region

Mobile food distributions are also planned in Starke, LaPorte and St. Joseph counties.

Starke County — 10 a.m. to noon Central Time at Starke County Fairgrounds, 400 Division St., Hamlet, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by the Hardesty Memorial Endowment and will serve 250 households. Also, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT, St. Peter Lutheran Church, 810 W. Talmer Ave., North Judson, while supplies last. This is a USDA distribution and will serve 200 households.

LaPorte County — 10 a.m. to noon CT at LaPorte County Fairgrounds, 2581 State Road 2, LaPorte, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of LaPorte County with added USDA products and will serve 250 households.

St. Joseph County — 1-3 p.m. ET Friday, July 7, at Liberty School, 600 Pregel Drive, Mishawaka, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by the city of Mishawaka and will serve 300 households. Also, 10 a.m. to noon ET Monday, July 17, at Christian Community Food Pantry, 625 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, while supplies last. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of St. Joseph County with added USDA products and will serve 200 households.
