Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum Hosting Centennial Program July 8
SYRACUSE — The Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum will be hosting its first Centennial program of the summer. “A Sportsman’s Paradise,” will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive, Syracuse.
Learn how the creation of Lake Papakeechie by the Northern Indiana Improvement Company led to the development of the Wawasee State Fish Hatchery.
The next Centennial Homes program will be 1-0:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, featuring the enlargement of the fish hatchery by the CCC. Diana Lung Castell will share her father’s management of the hatchery.
