NIPSCO To Work On The Natural Gas System South Of Nappanee
News Release
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — NIPSCO will begin routine maintenance work on an existing underground 16” natural gas pipeline south of Nappanee in Kosciusko County as part of the company’s overall integrity management and system modernization plan.
A temporary road closure will be in place for the full duration of this work, 24 hours a day, to ensure the safety of on-site crew members and residents.
Starting the week of July 10, SR 19 between CR 6 and W 900N will be closed for approximately four weeks. The detours for the closure will be located at SR 19, W 900 N, and SR 15.
Please look for advanced signage with more details on the closure dates and posted detour route signs. Exercise caution when traveling around any construction zone.
NIPSCO approved contractor, Graycor, will be performing this planned work, and there are no anticipated gas service interruptions as part of this project. Please note that all project schedules are dependent on weather and start and, or, finish dates maybe subject to change.
NIPSCO would like to remind residents of work zone safety and travel tips to follow to help ensure everyone arrives home safely.
