Mobile Food Distributions Coming To Kosciusko, Marshall, Elkhart Counties

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has set its mobile food distribution schedule for August.
Among nearby food distribution events are:
Elkhart County
- 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 2, while supplies last, at Jefferson Elementary School, 18565 CR 20, Goshen. This distribution is sponsored by Kroger with added U.S. Department of Agriculture products and will serve 200 households.
Kosciusko County
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 14, while supplies last, at Leesburg Grace Brethren Church, 101 W. School St., Leesburg. This is a USDA distribution and will serve 200 households.
Marshall County
- 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 18, while supplies last, at Sunnyside Park at Jane’s Park playground, Woodies Lane, Bremen. This distribution is sponsored by the United Way of Marshall County and will serve 200 households.
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 28, while supplies last, at New Song Church, 1292 Baker St., Plymouth. This distribution is sponsored by the United Way of Marshall County with added USDA products and will serve 200 households.
At mobile food distributions, assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, for those in need of food assistance. Only one box/bag is available per household.
Distributions are drive-thru events. Recipients should remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
The distributions are made possible because of sponsorships from Kroger, United Way of LaPorte County, United Way of Marshall County and United Way of St. Joseph County.
