Syracuse Public Library — Dough ‘Not’ Cry Alone
News Release
SYRACUSE — The first day of school can stir many emotions for parents, whether they are sending off a kindergartener or a third grader. Parents: you are not alone.
After dropping their children off at school or watching them board the school bus, parents can swing by the Syracuse Public Library to find support. Starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, parents can sit, drink coffee, enjoy a doughnut and talk about their little ones in the children’s department.
Dough “Not” Cry Alone occurs before the library opens, so parents will need to knock on the Harrison Street side door to enter. Children services librarian Megan Daumen will be on hand to let parents in.
Never A Better Time To Learn Mahjong
The Syracuse Public Library has two active mahjong sessions. Players of all skill levels can attend at either 10 a.m. on Mondays or 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Don’t know how to play? Regular mahjong players are more than willing to demonstrate how the game is played.
