On Aug. 8, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a report of a rock being thrown at a child. The child said they were outside when they saw a vehicle driven by Williams pull up beside them.
According to court documents, three children jumped out of the vehicle and beat the child up. At one point, a brick was thrown at the child. The officer didn’t notice any injuries on the child.
A witness said she saw the child’s face get hit.
The officer spoke with Williams on Aug. 10 about the incident. Williams said one of the three children asked her to take the group to a local mobile home park. She said the group fought with a child and told the officer if she knew they were going to fight, she would not have driven them anywhere.
On Aug. 18, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a fight, during which a child was tased and pepper sprayed. The child said they were walking in a park when three children and Williams exited a vehicle.
The child said one of the children in the group tased them on the back of their neck with a stun gun and pepper sprayed their eyes. They also said the two other children in the group proceeded to kick and punch them.
The officer noticed prong marks on the child’s neck and that their face was red and swollen. Another child at the scene also confirmed what occurred. The officer also discovered a video of part of the fight was uploaded to social media.
Earlier that same day, the officer learned about a group of children threatening to beat up an individual at a bus stop. Upon going to the bus stop, the officers found the three children involved in the altercation and Williams at the bus stop.
Williams said she didn’t know the children in her vehicle were going to start a fight and also said she didn’t know her taser was going to be used in the incident.
Williams was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 19.
