WARSAW — October will be off and running here at the Warsaw Community Public Library. We have many events for all ages, and a variety of topics to pique the interest of many personalities and adventurers.
At 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, there will be needle felting with Rachel. Participants will be making adorable scented pumpkins. Payment is due in advance at registration at the reference desk.
Thursday, Oct. 5, will premiere our Teen Anime Club at 4 p.m. We will be watching videos, playing a game and making some candy sushi rolls.
We will also be continuing our euchre day at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 10.
Saturday, Oct. 14, will be a busy day with Greyt Readers and Kid’s Yoga at 10:30 a.m., and a miniature sun clock craft to go along with the partial eclipse. Free eclipse glasses will available.
We also have two events on Monday, Oct. 16. A favorite, Paint with Carl, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Advance registration and payment must be made at the reference desk. Also, an author visit with Lynn MacKaben Brown, author of “Furs and Fevers,” will take place at 6 p.m.
In the afternoon on Tuesday, Oct. 17, we will be having a Traditional English Tea and Trivia at 3 p.m. Registration is required, but the event is free. In the evening, we will be having a wonderful dulcimer concert for the whole family by Ted Yoder, known for covering many well-known songs from many eras. The concert will start at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 19, will offer an all-day family movie day; come and go as you please. The teens will have an event at 4 p.m. to learn how to create character voices for performance.
Tuesday, Oct. 24, will also be a teen virtual reality gaming time starting at 4 p.m. Participants should please register in advance for a time slot.
We are very excited for our Fall Fest from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Enjoy games, crafts with prizes and candy.
Finally, as we do every year, there will be trick-or-treating at the library throughout the day on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
