Northern Indiana Food Bank Sets Mobile Distributions For October

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has set mobile distribution events for the month of October.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. The format is first come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/bag is available per household.
Distributions are drive-thru. Remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
The distributions are sponsored by HealthLinc, Kroger, United Way of LaPorte County and Saint Joseph Health System.
Mobile distributions in Elkhart, Marshall and Kosciusko counties include:
Elkhart County
- 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Oct. 6, at Wakarusa Missionary Church, 202 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. This is a U.S. Department of Agriculture distribution and will serve 200 households.
Marshall County
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 9, at Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos. This distribution is sponsored by Kroger with added USDA product and will serve 200 households.
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 16, at Riverside Intermediate School, 905 Baker St., Plymouth. This distribution is sponsored by Saint Joseph Health System and will serve 215 households.
Kosciusko County
- 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 13, at Heritage Park, 301 S. Walnut St., Etna Green. This distribution is sponsored by Kroger with added USDA product and will serve 200 households.
