Chilcutt Arrested After Officers Find 60 Grams Of Meth

MILFORD — A Syracuse man was recently arrested after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of 60 grams of methamphetamine.
Brandon Jay Chilcutt, 34, 502 S. Manor Drive, Syracuse, is charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 3 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Nov. 2, a Milford Police officer and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver on SR 15. The Milford officer pulled the driver over after noticing they were unable to maintain their lane of travel.
According to court documents, the driver was identified as Chilcutt, who exhibited nervous behavior. Officers learned Chilcutt had an outstanding warrant from Elkhart County and took him into custody.
Upon searching Chilcutt’s person, officers found a plastic bag containing 48 grams of meth. Law enforcement also found a set of scales and a marijuana cigarette in Chilcutt’s vehicle.
While Chilcutt was being booked in the Kosciusko County Jail, officers found a second bag containing 12 grams of meth on Chilcutt’s person.
Chilcutt was booked in KCJ on Nov. 2, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
