Warsaw YMCA’s ‘What Can I Eat’ Program For Diabetics Starts Nov. 21

WARSAW — The Kosciusko Community YMCA is bringing back the “What Can I Eat” program. The nutrition-based support program is designed by the American Diabetes Association and will work to help those in the community living with type 2 diabetes eat their way to better diabetes control.
Throughout the six-week program participants will receive a free resource box and grocery gift cards that can be used to prepare meals and education on proper meal planning and budgeting. Each participant will also receive hands-on training to better manage blood glucose and will work with interactive content to learn to prepare meals.
Classes will take place at 12:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, from Nov. 21 to Jan. 2, at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA, 1305 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.
Who Is Eligible?
“What Can I Eat” is free for anyone in the community who is living with type 2 diabetes, has internet access and can receive SMS messages.

Individuals can register for the “What Can I Eat” program online at www.kcymca.org or in person at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA Welcome Center.
