Grammy Winning Blues Guitarist In Wabash
WABASH – Grammy Award-winning producer and guitarist Pete Anderson will be live for “Thursday Night Blues: Live At The Eagles Theatre” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. This is the second in a three-show series sponsored by The Noisemaker Music Store.
Anderson is a groundbreaking guitarist who melds blues and country to forge a style all his own. Known as a pioneer in the roots-rock genre and an early champion of the Americana movement, he was instrumental in launching the careers of multiple artists, including Michelle Shocked, Lucinda Williams, Jim Lauderdale, Rosie Flores and perhaps most famously, his musical partner of 20 years, Dwight Yoakam.
The Los Angeles-based guitarist has toured the world as a performer and bandleader, playing more than 3,000 shows in 15 countries. He has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show (19 times since 1986) and The Late Show with David Letterman. Anderson, with five critically-acclaimed solo records on his own label, Little Dog Records, has garnered rave reviews for decades.
“Pete Anderson is as much a magician as a musician. He’s been taking great sounds and making them greater so long he should get a prize. His new album takes everything to the next level, showing how this man really has few peers when it comes to music to curl your toes and supply the key to the highway. ‘Even Things Up’ is a true groove from start to finish,” said Bill Bentley at sonicboomers.com.
Tickets are $12 per show presale ticket, $15 day of the show. Tickets may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 260-563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.
