Milford Public Library — New DVDs From Sentimental Productions Inc.
News Release
MILFORD — Milford Public Library has announced two new additions to its Sentimental Reflections series from Sentimental Productions Inc.
Over the years, Sentimental Productions has produced videos that reflect on the American culture through story, scenery and song. These videos are both informative and entertaining. The Sentimental Reflections videos are produced four times a year and each video is approximately 45 minutes long.
The two newest DVDs to be added to the library collection include the following topics: From Series Nineteen, (edition four), “The Cover Story” is about the magic of printing; “Scenic America” takes a look at Huntington Beach, S.C.; “Our Amazing World” focuses on two species of the world’s tallest trees, which are both located in California; and the “Time Capsule” segment looks back at the earliest of television’s game shows, including “Name That Tune,” “Beat the Clock” and “Make That Spare.”
From Series Twenty, (edition one), “The Cover Story” examines the making of the popular Burma-Shave jingles which were so popular and a favorite project for Sentimental Productions; “Scenic America” takes a look at the Whitewater River spanning from a point near Dayton, Ohio, to where it flows into the Ohio River; “Time Capsule” segment takes a look back at the first universal newsreels shown in movie theaters during the 1930s; and finally, the “Timeless Trivia” section shows eras of the White House and how history has handled questions and answers pertaining to the various presidents who have held that office over the years.
You can check out these DVDs from the library or any of the other numerous videos the library has in the collection from Sentimental Productions.
