DuBois To Remain With Goshen School Board
News Release
GOSHEN — It was announced during Goshen Community Schools’ board meeting Monday, Dec. 11 that interim superintendent Jim DuBois would accept a position as superintendent.
DuBois was formerly the superintendent of Baugo Community Schools, but left in 2019 to found Craftsmen Mindset Enterprises LLC, working on the state level with educators to create pathways and apprenticeships for high school students. He was also director of Educational Partnerships at Horizon Education Alliance for a few years.
DuBois has been working as interim superintendent since August. He had not planned on staying on long-term, but found that Goshen Community Schools was working on things that he himself was passionate about. Dubois stated he has been working on pathways for students, including business supply chain logistics and marketing. He is also hoping to bring Elkhart-based entrepreneurial program Startup Moxie to Goshen and working with pre-engineering students on a makerspace.
In addition to focusing on high school students and career pathways, DuBois has been in elementary teacher, principal and administrative positions at Baugo Community Schools and Penn Harris Madison School District.
