Waldbeser Arrested For Domestic Battery

NORTH WEBSTER — A North Webster woman was recently arrested for allegedly battering an underage individual.
Katlyn Michelle Waldbeser, 23, 9258 E. Backwater Road, North Webster, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 31, a man said Waldbeser hit an underage individual in the face. A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy spoke with the man and child about what happened.
According to court documents, the child said they were playing video games with their sibling when a verbal argument started between them. During the argument, Waldbeser entered the room, started yelling at the child, and trapped them against a wall. The child said they attempted to push Waldbeser away from them when she slapped them across the face.
Due to the incident, the child had a swollen upper lip and a cut on the inside of their lip.
The sibling said they witnessed Waldbeser smack the child across the face. The man who reported the incident said when he called 911, Waldbeser left the scene.
Waldbeser was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 11, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
