MILFORD — The Adult Winter Reading Program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” will be held at Milford Public Library from Jan. 2-March 30. Rules for participating are as follows:

Must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

For each book you read or audiobook you listen to, you can put your name in for a chance to win an adventure gift card. The books can be from the library or ones you have purchased privately, but they suggest you try and read materials that are new to you.

Each Friday, the library will draw a name out of the bowl beginning with Jan. 12. That person will win a prize. Prizes are provided by local sponsors.

After a name has been selected, the remaining names in the bowl will be removed and they will start fresh to add names for the next week’s drawing. Names they have pulled will be kept and on the last day of the program, they will select one person from all participants to be a grand prize winner.

Holiday Closings

The library will be closed Saturday, Dec. 30, for New Year’s Eve and Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day.
