Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital To Host Autism Talk

WARSAW — Dr. Alexandru Tanase, board-certified pediatrician, will lead a discussion on the topic Autism: Moving from Stigma to Appreciation of True Potential. Autism spectrum is a neurodevelopmental variation characterized by persistent deficits in social interaction and restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests and activities.
Two meeting times are scheduled on Thursday, Jan. 18 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital’s Administrative Classroom, 2101 E. Dubois Drive, Warsaw.
Tanase focuses on infants, children and adolescents. He treats patients with chronic or acute illnesses and manages physical, mental and emotional well-being for children. Tanase has a special interest in early autism diagnosis and developmental care for children. He is certified by Vanderbilt University to utilize the Screening Tool for Autism in Toddlers and Young Children.
