Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:07 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, South SR 15, north of Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew Kozlovic, 50, South Woodland Hills Drive West, Warsaw. Kozlovic’s vehicle hit a trash can in the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, South County Farm Road, north of East CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Barry A. Harman, 55, South CR 200W, Claypool. Harman’s vehicle hit a raccoon. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:02 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, South CR 450E, north of East CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Scott A. Wilson, 21, East Pierceton Road, Pierceton. Wilson’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:26 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Driver: Lenora Martinez, 71, Edgewater Avenue Lot 52, Syracuse. Martinez’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 5:52 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, East CR 500S, west of South CR 750E, Pierceton. Driver: David A. Morales, 58, East CR 550S, Warsaw. Morales’ vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, North Lighthouse Drive, north of North Old Port Road, Warsaw. Driver: Mary J. Praterq, 60, East Center Street Apartment 208, Warsaw. Praterq’s vehicle backed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage under $1,000.
- 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, SR 15, near CR 400N, Warsaw. Drivers: Kayla R. Bowens, 33, Lake Shore Drive, Elkhart; and James I. Denham, 47, Superior Street, Elkhart. Bowens was attempting to slow her vehicle while Denham was turning right onto CR 400N. The brakes on her vehicle failed and a collision occurred. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:24 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, West CR 1350N, east of North CR 700W, Nappanee. Driver: Mervin M. Miller, 35, West CR 1050N, Nappanee. Miller’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting two mailboxes. Damage up to $10,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, SR 17 and CR 125N, Kewanna. Driver: Debrah A. Matiya, 55, Culver, reported hitting a buck. Her vehicle is driveable.
