Sharon Key Phend
Sharon Kay Phend, 66, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 8:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in her residence.
On Sept. 10, 1947, she was born in Elkhart, Ind., to Harold J. and Edna Marie (May) Nettrouer. She married Michael Eugene Phend on Aug. 12, 1994, in Warsaw, Ind., who survives.
Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, Sharon graduated from Pierceton High School, Class of 1965. She was employed as an Inspector and Auditor for Biomet Inc., Warsaw, since 2001.
She is survived by her husband: Michael Eugene Phend, Pierceton; three children: Julie Ann (John) Frye, Claypool, Ind.; Melanie Jo Robinson, Warsaw; and Jacob David Phend, Warsaw; one sister: Phyllis (Leo) Boyer, Winona Lake, Ind.; two brothers: Carl (Betty) Nettrouer, Claypool; and Keith (Cheryl) Nettrouer, Claypool; seven grandchildren: Jason Slusher, Nakia Phend, Morgan George, Lexis George, Rexanne George, Samantha Frye and Danielle Frye; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
