Theophostic Healing Prayer Seminar Offered
Theophostic Prayer Ministry is a technique of Christian prayer for the healing of emotional trauma.
In a study of nearly 2,000 people suffering from ailments of addictions, anxiety and panic attacks, grief and loss, relationship issues, phobias, depression and sexual abuse, nearly four times the number of people who found “noticable or significant improvement” through the medical system reported this type of improvement from receiving Theophostic Prayer.
In fact, in the earliest survey of TPM recipients, more than 85 percent of people suffering from a variety of mental issues, said they got more help from TPM than from anything else they had tried.
During a Theophostic prayer, a ministry recipient meets with a trained prayer minister one on one. The ministry recipient is encouraged to feel their emotions, and the Lord Jesus is asked to reveal the place where the person first felt that way (was traumatized) and the truth about uncomfortable feelings, such as grief, depression, fear, worthlessness, shame, etc.
It is believed that the Lord Jesus heals the emotional pain. In addition to better mood, persons without emotional pain do not experience the psychological component of addictions and compulsive behavior. Sex, drug, alcohol, food and gambling struggles are often associated with emotional pain from old trauma. Everyone has experienced some little traumas in life; it is only a matter of degree.
Dr. Ed Smith developed Theophostic Prayer Ministry while working with rape victims he had been doing group therapy with for 3 years. After as few as three sessions of Theophostic, some women experienced complete healing of all their pain.
