WARSAW — Three fire crews battled a Warsaw house fire on Sunday morning, Feb. 18.
Firefighters were called out before 9 a.m. to the blaze at 757 W. Center St., Warsaw.
It took more than an hour and a half to control the fire. Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Chief Brian Mayo said no one was injured in it.
Mayo said he was grateful to Winona Lake and Plain Township fire departments for assisting at the scene.
“I’m very thankful for it because it was so cold out here today … It was a stubborn fire,” said Mayo.
Mayo said the “two different roofing systems” on the home and wind complicated firefighters’ efforts.
Also responding to the scene were Lutheran EMS, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Warsaw Police Department.
According to Kosciusko County Beacon GIS, the house is owned by Chanda K. Allen.
