PIERCETON — The grand opening, open house and ribbon cutting at Heirloom Beauty Collective, 301 N. First St., (SR 13), on Saturday, March 2, was a culmination of celebratory events for Samantha Miller, owner. She officially opened the collective on Saturday, Feb. 14. Family, friends, town officials and members of the community came to help Miller celebrate.
“It’s been a lot of love, faith in the Lord in what he said and family,” said Miller.
Heirloom Beauty Collective provides any kid of hair service — color, extensions, cuts, styling, along with offering bridal services. “I will eventually be adding more (services) — eyelash extensions and nails,” said Miller.
Currently, the staff consists of just Miller and Lexy Chapman. Sophia Seymour, Miller’s niece, will be joining the team as a stylist this summer after graduating from Warsaw Career Academy and obtaining her license.
Heirloom Beauty Collective additionally offers a full hair retail selection and will be building out her retail area of apparel, jewelry, tumblers and gifts, from three locally owned woman businesses.
“I feel we need something like this to be complete,” said Kelsea Degaetano, executive director of the Pierceton Chamber of Commerce. While Heirloom Beauty Collective is not the only hair salon in town, “To have a secondary option is great. It’s good to have the boutique and the expansion of nails and eyelashes to make it well rounded for the town.”
Hair services are offered by appointments only. Store hours for the retail portion of the business is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
