Easter Egg Hunts Start This Weekend

WARSAW — Area Easter egg hunts start this weekend.

Akron
- The Akron Chamber of Commerce’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday, March 30. The event goes from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Pike Memorial Park. Kids may get pictures with the Easter Bunny and see animals at the spring petting zoo. The hunt with more than 6,000 eggs is divided up by age groups. Ages 0-3 will start at 11:30 a.m., ages 4-6 at 11:35 a.m., ages 7-9 at 11:40 a.m. and ages 10-12 at 11:45 a.m. Ages 0-3 may have an adult help.
Atwood
- Atwood Otterbein Church, 306 E. Main St., will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23. It will start at 1 p.m. The church women’s group, Sisterhood in Faith, will welcome toddler children through sixth grade and their parents in the church fellowship hall. Light refreshments will be served, and the children will have an opportunity to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny.
Claypool
- Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., has a community Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 24. It’s divided by age groups, with ages 2 and younger going at 9:25 a.m., ages 3-5 at 9:40 a.m., ages 6-9 at 9:50 a.m. and 10 and older at 10 a.m. There will be snacks and refreshments afterward, and everyone is welcome to attend the worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Clunette
- Clunette United Methodist Church, 4227 W. 600N, Leesburg, has an Easter egg hunt and party from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.
Etna Green
- The Etna Green Lions Club has an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Heritage Park.
Fulton
- The Fulton-Liberty Lions Club has an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30. It’s at Liberty Township Park in Fulton. People should meet at the pavilions, with the hunt being at the ball fields and playground. Kids will hunt in four age groups: ages 0-3; ages 4-5; ages 6-8; and ages 9-12. Winners of $5 prizes will have their picture taken. People are asked to leave empty plastic eggs in totes before leaving.
Kewanna
- The Kewanna-Union Township Public Library, 210 E. Main St., has an Easter egg hunt for those up to age 12 at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30. There will be special prizes in addition to the eggs and Easter games and storytime after the hunt.
Mentone
- Mentone Chamber of Commerce’s Easter egg hunt is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Mentzer Park.
Milford
- The Milford Kiwanis Club has an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Milford school parking lot and playground. The hunt is open to those in grade 3 or younger. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a firetruck at 10:15 a.m. Pictures may be taken with the Easter Bunny before and after the hunt.
North Webster
- North Webster Church of God has its annual community Easter egg hunt at Camp Crosley, 165 EMS T2 Lane, from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23. There will be more than 20,000 eggs for children under age 12 to find in hunts for four age groups. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, a prize tent, doughnut holes and hot chocolate.
- The North Webster Lions Club’s annual Easter egg hunt is 9 a.m. sharp Saturday, March 30, at the North Webster ballfields. It will be divided among four age groups: toddlers; preschool and kindergarten; grades 1-3; and grades 4 and 5. The age limit is up to 12 years old. The event includes hard-boiled eggs as well as plastic eggs for cash or special prizes. Eggs are provided by Creighton Brothers LLC.
Pierceton
- Harvest Community Church, 512 S. Seventh St., Pierceton, has an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30. There will be crafts at noon.
Rochester
- Fulton County REMC has an Easter egg hunt at The Outlet Youth Center, 491 Apache Drive, Rochester, on Saturday, March 23. Festivities start at 2 p.m., with the hunt at 3 p.m.
Life Care Center of Rochester, 827 W. 13th St., has an Easter egg hunt at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 29. The event is open to those ages 10 and under. It will be divided into three age groups, with prizes for each group. - The Fulton County Public Library’s Rochester branch, 320 W. Seventh St., has an Easter egg hunt from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 3. The Easter Bunny will be there, and there will be gifts and prizes. All ages are welcome. The rain date is 5 p.m. Thursday, April 4.
Silver Lake
- Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, 303 S. Jefferson St., has an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23. There will be thousands of eggs, gifts, prizes and much more.
- The Silver Lake Lions Club will have an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23. It will be at the Silver Lake school grounds. Five age groups will participate: 0-1; 2-3; 4-6; 7-9; and 10 through sixth grade. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. People should bring their own containers. Syracuse
- The Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department has an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23. It’s at Lakeside Park, across from the Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive, and is open to all children 10 and under. There will be three egg hunts for specific age groups: 10 a.m. for ages 0-3; 10:30 a.m. for ages 4-6; and 11 a.m. for ages 7-10. After the hunt, each child who returns the eggs they found will receive a treat. There will be three golden eggs hidden for each age group for a special prize.
- The Sanctuary of Syracuse, 10121 N. SR 13, has its second annual Eggstravaganza from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 30. There will be a bounce house, egg hunt, food, face painting, games, contests and balloon animals.
Warsaw
- Warsaw Meadows Care Center, 300 E. Prairie St., has an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be from 9-11 a.m. Kids will hunt in two age groups: ages 1-5 and ages 6-10. There will be a golden egg prize for both age groups.
- Warsaw’s Miller’s Merry Manor, 1630 S. County Farm Road, will have an Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 23. There will also be doughnuts, coffee, cocoa, crafts, a coloring contest, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
- Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High St., has an Easter egg hunt at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, March 23. It will be for toddlers to age 12. There will be 3,500 eggs hidden in the church gym and playground. A kid-friendly lunch of cheese stick/peanut butter crackers, fruit, chips and drink will be served afterward. There will be a puppet show and open gym afterward (until 1 p.m.).
Winona Lake
- The “Egg My House” FUNdraiser for Winona Lake Limitless Park is returning for Easter 2024. Through it, homes in Warsaw or Winona Lake will be “egged” with candy and toy-filled plastic eggs. The goodies will be put out the evening of people’s choice, either Friday, March 29, or Saturday, March 30. People may have the items placed in a basket at front doors or hidden in yards for an additional fee. The cost is $30 for 25 eggs, $50 for 50 eggs and $75 for 100 eggs.
