SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Community Center and Lakeside Park were the places to be this morning as the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunts for kids 0-10 this morning, Saturday, March 23.
Despite the cold and windy weather, little ones and their parents showed up early for the 0-3 Easter Egg Hunt. They had time to figure out their egg hunt strategy and chat with the Easter Bunny who was on hand.
At the sound of the siren, the little ones were off collecting the Easter eggs that were spread out over the lawn in front of the Syracuse Community Center. They then went inside to turn in their eggs and collect their prizes. The entire hunt took approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Members of Knights of Columbus helped spread eggs in front of the community center and Lakeside Park and hand out the prizes. Each child who returned their eggs received a prize. Those children who found the golden egg received a special prize.
As the 0-3 year-olds were heading for their car, kids in the 4-6 year range were starting to show up for their hunt.
