Marshall County Drug Task Force Arrests One Person During Search

PLYMOUTH — One person has been arrested following during a Marshall County Drug Task Force search.
On Wednesday, April 17, the Marshall County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Marshall County Police, executed a search warrant at the Creekside Mobile Home Park near Lapaz. During the investigation, officers located and arrested Kayla Baker, 32, Plymouth, for outstanding warrants from Marshall County, Miami County, Wabash County and Fulton County.
Baker was also arrested for new charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. She has no bond on the warrants and a $1,500 cash bond on the new charges.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the state is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
