Class Act Dance Troupe Performing In Warsaw Saturday
News Release
WARSAW — Class Act Dance Troupe will bring its award-winning pieces to the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20.
“This concert will showcase the artistry, talent and dedication of our students,” said Class Act Dance Troupe co-director Tammy Seibold. “We have everything from a dynamic hip-hop piece, ‘Get Ur Drop On,’ by Chicago-based choreographer Suavé, to the emotional choreography of ‘By Your Side,’ by Josh Manculich from Denison University. The variety of this show will offer something for everyone.”
“Our students are passionate about dance and it shows in every piece. You can feel their intensity in the jazz piece ‘Bass Monkey,’ then with just as much conviction they deliver the classical feel of ‘Growth.’ As the show unfolds, you will be amazed by the versatility of our dancers. It’s the most entertaining 75 minutes you will find,” said Seibold.
Tickets will be available for $19.50 at the door beginning one hour prior to the performance. Proceeds from the performance benefit the Class Act Dance Troupe scholarship fund. Discounted student tickets are available for $10 from any troupe member.
The nonprofit performing company, affiliated with Debra Collier’s School of Dance, was created in 1986 to provide students with additional opportunities to use their dance training by performing for various events and organizations and participating in regional competitions. The company of students, ages 8 to 18, has performed for such events as Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, the Legacy program in New York City, and the Harlem Globetrotters, as well as focusing on community involvement through local performances.
