Dear Editor (and haters),

Thank you for your piece on Pride. The LGBT community is here and not going anywhere. It’s so nice and refreshing to see positive stories, instead of the usual hate and vitriol. There is absolutely zero reason for the attitude given against people trying to simply survive their daily life. We don’t need boomers and the like to make it even harder.

Who I sleep with and what’s in my pants is not your business. The fact you talk about it so much is honestly creepy. Get your priorities straight and try to better this country. Feed the school kids for free, send them to college for free. Stop being the way you are to people you don’t know a darn thing about. The suicide rate for LGBT is so high and that’s absolutely dreadful. These kids, your kids, just want to grow up in a happy and safe world. The fact they’re choosing to die is disgusting, and you’re OK with that? Why on earth would you want to ruin the world for them. Lord knows you’d have been up in arms if someone treated you this way. Live and let live, because remember, Pride started from a riot. I won’t cast the first stone, but you can bet your butt I’ll cast the second, and last.

We’re here, we’re queer, and we ain’t going nowhere.
