Mary Louise Abell
Mary Louise Abell, 89, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born July 26, 1922, in Warsaw to Lawrence and Naomi (Miner) Yeiter. She married V. Ray Abell on Oct. 18, 1939, in Warsaw.
She was co-owner of Abell’s TV & Antennas and retired in 1982. Her memberships included Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, Ind.; Order of the Eastern Star, Bourbon, Ind.; and O.N.O., Etna Green, Ind. She was a professional quilter and crafter, loved to care for her truck patch garden, enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Abell is survived by two daughters: Shirley Walgumuth, Leesburg; and Jackie (Gary) Harvey, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; a daughter-in-Law: Sue Abell, Centerville, Va.; a brother: Don (Phyllis) Yeiter, Milford, Ind.; two sisters: Doris (J.L.) Ball, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and Carol (Ken) Branden, Etna Green; seven grandchildren: Tammy Abell, Kimberly Abell, Allison Abell, Jennifer (Steve Smith) Abell, Angela (Chris) Johnson, Jason (Colleen) Harvey, and Tracy (Craig) Williams; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Naomi Yeiter; her husband: V. Ray Abell; two sons: William Abell, Terry Abell; and a brother: Lewis Yeiter.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Thomas of Otterbein United Methodist Church and Chaplain Doug West, Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
