Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 11:07 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 1400 E. Smith St., Warsaw. Drivers: Graycee R. Bussard-Sands, 20, Pheasant Ridge Drive, Warsaw; and Dorothy D. Watkins, 51, West Clearwater Drive, Warsaw. Bussard-Sands’ vehicle rear-ended Watkins’. Damage up to $5,000.
- 10:07 p.m. Saturday, June 29, East Smith Street, at the intersection of South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Reyner J. Knecht, 16, North Cheyenne Drive, Warsaw; and Luis M. Cleto, 22, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Knecht attempted to pass Cleto’s vehicle but did not realize Cleto’s vehicle was stopped in order to make a left-hand turn into a parking lot. Damage up to $10,000.
- 11:54 a.m. Saturday, June 29, Anchorage Road, at the intersection of US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Joyce A. Forman, 70, Wynn Gate Court, New Albany; and Thayne M. White, 32, North Washington Street, Warsaw. Forman was attempting to turn onto Meijer Drive but did not see White’s vehicle already on the access road. Forman’s vehicle pulled in front of White’s. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:02 a.m. Saturday, June 29, East Old Road 30, at the intersection of US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Deadrian D. King, 30, East Market Street, Warsaw; and Jerid L. Stoffel, 42, West Harper Lake Road, Kimmell. King’s vehicle rear-ended Stoffel’s. King was later arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $50,000.
- 4:34 p.m. Friday, June 28, East Main Street, at the intersection of North Tamarack Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Karen A. Gingerich, 35, East Center Street, Warsaw; and Anita R. Condon, 68, 13th Trail, Bourbon. Gingerich said she stopped at the Main Street and Tamarack Street intersection, but did not see Condon’s vehicle traveling west on East Main Street. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:37 p.m. Friday, June 28, 945 N. Parker St., Warsaw. Drivers: Gary W. Newcomer, 73, East CR 1150N, Milford; and Patty A. Lenon, 59, Ivywood Drive, Warsaw. Newcomer was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he hit Lenon’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:39 p.m. Friday, June 28, East Winona Avenue, at the intersection of North SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Jason Borlick, 59, College Avenue, Valparaiso. Borlick’s vehicle was rear-ended by an unknown driver who left the scene. Damage under $1,000.
- 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, 1170 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Emma N. Tobolski, 16, 15th Road, Bourbon; and Tiffany N. Slocum, 42, East Fox Run Drive, Syracuse. Tobolski was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit Slocum’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:26 p.m. Thursday, June 27, US 30, east of CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacob M. Harmon, 23, Lydia Drive, Warsaw; and Joshua E. Tiedeman, 38, Coneflower Drive, Fort Wayne. Harmon’s vehicle rear-ended Tiedeman’s. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:02 p.m. Thursday, June 27, West Winona Avenue, west of South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ian S. McClintock, 23, Columbia Street, Warsaw; and Zella K. Hatfield, 61, West Dogwood Street, Warsaw. McClintock’s vehicle rear-ended Hatfield’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:28 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 1120 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Tommy J. Hemminger, 23, South Martin Street, Ligonier. Hemminger was at Belle Tire, pulling a customer’s vehicle into the Belle Tire building when his foot slipped off the brake pedal and pushed the gas pedal. This caused the vehicle to drive over the vehicle lift, hitting two Belle Tire employees. The employees that were hit were Christopher E. Knight, 31, Warsaw; and Clint J. Turczi, 36, North Webster. Knight complained of hip pain and was seen by medics at the scene. Turczi was struck by the vehicle, pinning both of his legs against a sink affixed to the wall. He sustained injuries to both of his legs and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:13 p.m. Thursday, June 27, South Scott Street, at the intersection of East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Renee C. Duggins, 64, West CR 700S, South Whitley; and Geoffrey L. Morris, 31, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Duggins stopped at the Scott Street and Market Street intersection, but did not see Morris’ vehicle traveling south on South Scott Street. Damage up to $5,000.
