Warsaw Man Arrested For Dealing, Possessing Meth

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of illegal drugs.
Tony Bryon Slone, 42, 603 E. Clark St. Apartment 3, Warsaw, is charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 4 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; and driving while suspended prior, a class A misdemeanor.
On June 11, an Indiana State Police trooper noticed a vehicle with a leaky muffler on Detroit Street in Warsaw. The trooper pulled the vehicle over and identified its driver as Slone.
According to court documents, Slone said he did not have a driver’s license and was suspended. The trooper confirmed Slone’s driver’s license status was suspended prior. While speaking with Slone, the trooper noticed a bag typically used to conceal illegal drugs in the vehicle.
A K9 unit at the scene alerted to drugs in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found 15.9 grams of meth, four pills identified as a narcotic drug, and multiple plastic bags used for packaging drugs.
Slone admitted to purchasing five ounces of meth earlier in the day. A passenger in the vehicle said Slone had been up all night dealing meth.
Slone has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance.
