WINONA LAKE — Pianist Dr. Borah H. Kang will present a free program on Friday, July 12.

It will be at 2 p.m. in the Grace Village Retirement Community Chapel. “Piano Praise” will include classical music and hymn works.

Kang attended Masterworks in Winona Lake in 2005-2007 and won the 2007 concerto contest, performing Schuman’s A minor concerto, Opus, 54. Originally from South Korea, she received her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance and literature from the University of Illinois in 2015.

Legally blind from birth, she praises God that He has helped her compensate by blessing her with “amazing hearing and great capacity of memorization.” Friday’s program is open to the public.
