WARSAW — As we near the end of another exciting summer reading program at Warsaw Community Public Library, excitement is building. With under two weeks left, our readers have already made this year memorable.
As of Monday, July 15, we’ve had 1,019 children, 408 teens, 700 adults and 22 staff
members participating, totaling 2,149 people. This surpasses last year’s participation of
2,028.
The pages read so far are equally impressive. Children have logged 1,137,140 pages; teens, 874,143 pages; adults, 1,630,317 pages; and staff, 76,327 pages. In total, we have reached a monumental 3,717,927 pages read so far. These numbers highlight our readers’ amazing dedication and enthusiasm, and we couldn’t be prouder. We’re well on our way to our goal of 5 million pages by Wednesday, July 31, and with everyone’s hard work, we believe we can get there.
Such an incredible summer of reading wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful
sponsors. We’d like to extend our gratitude to The Beaded Peacock, Belove, Bertsch Family Charitable Foundation Inc., Boathouse Restaurant, The Bowling Alley, Buffalo Street
Emporium, Circle Disc Golf, Culver’s, The Dixie Boat, ExpressionS Salon & Day Spa, Flavor
Freeze, Fort Wayne Tin Caps, Friends of the Library, GameStop, The Igloo Ice Cream Shop,
Indiana Lakes Federal Credit Union, Indiana State Fair, JB’s Furniture, Lippert, Mad
Anthony Brewing Co., Male Fashions, Meijer, Nicodemus Cards & Gaming, The Olive
Branch, Papa Vino’s Italian Kitchen, Rocksteady Pizza Parlour, Salvatori’s Authentic Italian
Eatery, Shawnanigans, Signature Studio, Texas Roadhouse, Wagon Wheel Center for the
Arts, Walmart, Warsaw Community Schools, Warsaw Noon Optimist Club, Wire & Steam
Coffee Co. and The Word House. Their generous contributions have provided our
readers with exciting incentives and rewards, making the summer reading experience all
the more enjoyable.
For those who haven’t yet joined in the fun, there’s still time to participate. Stop by
the library to sign up and discover all the fantastic activities and rewards that await. And
for those already signed up, keep reading and logging your pages, as it will take everyone’s participation to reach our goal of reading 5 million pages. If we succeed, we’ll celebrate with cotton candy for everyone on Thursday, Aug. 1. Let’s finish strong and make this summer one to remember.
