Staff Report
ETNA GREEN — An Etna Green woman was arrested for allegedly entering a home without permission and battering two people.
Monica Joy Miller, 35, 9462 N. SR 19, Etna Green, is charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement and battery resulting in bodily injury, both class A misdemeanors; and battery and disorderly conduct, both class B misdemeanors.
On June 15, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a location in Etna Green regarding Miller trespassing at a property. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Miller, who said she was at the location with a friend.
According to court documents, the individual Miller referred to as her friend said he did not invite Miller over, but was attempting to help her. The individual said Miller did not want her to stay at the location.
A second person said Miller grabbed his child’s nose ring, causing the child’s nose to bleed. While the deputy spoke with the person, Miller sat in the roadway and yelled. Miller attempted to resist arrest while the deputy placed her in his vehicle.
The child told the deputy Miller walked into their home, grabbed their nose ring, and started pulling on it. The deputy noticed blood on the child’s nose.
Witnesses also said Miller hit a person while they were trying to leave the area.
Miller has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance. A photo of Miller was unavailable for publication.
