Echoes To Host SummerFest Tractor Show And Pull Aug. 2-3

CLAYPOOL — Echoes of the Past is hosting the free SummerFest Tractor Show and Pull from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.
It’s at 6840 S. County Farm Road in Claypool.
Vintage and antique tractors, farm implements and engines will be on display the entirety of the show. Club members will be staffing many different activities for the kids. There will be a barrel train ride, corn pit, tractor driving experience, rolling tubes, a tube slide and gravity wagon basketball.
The tractor driving experience will be available 4-6 p.m. Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a coin treasure hunt throughout both days. Duke the horse, owned by Sam Hedington, will again pull wagon rides for everyone to enjoy.
The noncompetitive tractor pulls will begin each evening at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to pull. A donation is requested to help offset the cost of the sled if you would like to participate.
Live entertainment will take place on the grounds each evening as well. The Hwy 30 band will be playing at 6 p.m. Friday. From 5-8 p.m. Saturday, the Barrel Scrapers will be entertaining the crowd.
Saturday kicks off with breakfast at 7 a.m. Proceeds will go to the Kurt Miller Memorial Fund. At 8 a.m. the first Mystery 4 Mile Run will depart. The 17-mile Kurt Miller Memorial Tractor Drive will begin at 9:30 a.m.
The cornhole tournament registration starts at 11 a.m., and bags will fly at noon. We will also be having a Garden Tractor Pull at 2 p.m., and for the first time, a diecast tractor auction, starting at 3 p.m. Proceeds from the diecast auction will benefit the Echoes of the Past Scholarship Fund.
Food served by Wheels on Fire Cancer Crusaders will be available throughout the show. All proceeds from the food sales benefit local cancer patients in Kosciusko and Fulton counties. They will be serving lunch and dinner both days of SummerFest.
Tractor-churned ice cream will be available throughout the event, and for the kids, snow cones will also be available.
