Milford Public Library — MPL Uses Gift To Remodel Office Area
News Release
MILFORD — The Milford Public Library Board has decided to use a generous gift from Durwood “Bud” and Jeri Seely to update and remodel the upstairs office and break room area. The area was part of the addition to the library in 1995-96, so it was due for an update. The office area has been painted and new desks and wall units are being installed. There will be new cabinets for storage in the breakroom. They are hoping to move back in the office before the end of August. Stop by and take a look.
Students Need Library Card
The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Wednesday, Aug. 14. Every student should have a library card. If you go to Milford Elementary, Wawasee Middle School or Wawasee High School, you may have a library card at Milford Public Library. If you are a teacher or support staff in the Wawasee School Corporation, you may have a library card.
They encourage anyone who does not already have a card to start the school year out right and register for a library card today. Registering for a card only takes a few minutes. Go to the adult circulation desk with a photo ID with your correct address and fill out the application. A few minutes later, you will have a bright, shiny, new library card.
The first 30 days you may check out four items at a time, a combination of books, DVDs and CDs; please, no television series on DVD. You can come back every day and return your four items for four new items. After the first 30 days, you may have 10 DVDs on your card at one time and up to 100 items total. Homeschoolers are invited to get library cards, too. They interlibrary loan books they do not own. Through Evergreen Indiana, patrons have access to almost eight million materials. If you can’t find what you are looking for, the friendly, knowledgeable staff is happy to help.
