Important Upcoming Election Dates And Vote Centers Announced

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Important dates relating to voter registration, early voting, requests for an absentee ballot and a list of vote centers for the 2024 Presidential Election has been released by Ann Torpy, clerk of the Kosciusko Circuit and Superior Courts.
Voter registration deadline is Oct. 7. This includes those voters who need to update their address in the voter registration program. Voters should also verify their information. Voters may visit the county clerk’s office or the Indiana Voters website to verify and register.
Early voting will begin at the clerk’s office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Oct. 8 and going through Nov. 1 and from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday, Nov. 4.
Those unable to vote during the week will have two Saturday voting hours at two locations. Voters will also be able to vote from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at the justice building or at the North Webster Community Center, 301 N. Main St., North Webster.
Torpy wants to remind voters individuals are able to request an absentee ballot to vote by mail. Forms are available in the clerk’s office or at the Indiana Voters website. Deadline to request an absentee ballot is Oct. 24. Mail ballot applications require a voter to provide either their Indiana driver’s license number, last four of their social security number, or their unique identification number issued by the Indiana Statewide Voter Registration System. They may also send in a photocopy of their id.
There has been one change to vote centers for the general election. The vote center previously held at the Moose Lodge has moved to the Pathways Church, west of the roundabout on Old 30.
