Pamela Damron — UPDATED
Pamela Damron, known as Pam, was born on April 11, 1953, in Wabash to Marvin E. Keaffaber and Wilma B. (Kling) Francis. She spent her formative years in Wabash County and most of her adult life in Arizona, moving to Elkhart more recently. Pam passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at the Center for Hospice Care; she was 71 years old.
Pam was a strong-willed and stubborn individual, but those who knew her best understood that beneath her tough exterior lay a heart of gold. She had a unique talent for gift-giving, ensuring that everyone received something. An animal lover, Pam particularly enjoyed her dogs and cats. She found joy in the great outdoors and had a special fondness for watching Westerns — the older the better.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by two husbands, Jack Bailey and Willie Damron, and a sister, Lois Britton. Those who survive include her son, Scott (Tammy) Keaffaber, of Syracuse, and daughter, Kristina (Sherman) Cochran, Warsaw; a stepson, George Bailey; eight grandchildren, Krissa (Jesse) Yoder, Jordan (Kaylea) Keaffaber, McKenzie (Cody) Lindsey, Madison Keaffaber, Trevor Keaffaber, Taylor (Dustin) Strong, Brayden (Emmerson) Cochran and Alexis Cochran; 12 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Nancy (John) Jimenez, Darlene (Jack) Wagner and Ernest Francis.
Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services is entrusted with the care of Pam and the family. A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw. Beginning at 3 p.m., Pastor Bob Brown will lead a LifeCelebration Service. Those who wish to give should send gifts to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, with envelopes available at the funeral home. Written condolences can be left on Pam’s obituary page at TitusFuneralHome.com.
