Warsaw High School Homecoming Parade Happening Sept. 27

WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School Student Council will hold its annual homecoming parade at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
The parade will consist of the WCHS official homecoming court and floats featuring the diverse range of clubs and sports at WCHS. The 2024 homecoming float theme is jukebox hits. Spectators are encouraged to dress as their favorite musical group or artist. The parade’s grand marshal is Ellen Stayer, who recently retired from WCHS after working as the office manager and principal’s secretary for 31 years.
The parade will start at the WCHS Performing Arts Center parking lot, where it will then proceed to Union Street. It will then turn right onto Market Street and later turn left onto Indiana Street. The route will then turn left onto Main Street and continue left onto Columbia Street. The parade will end at the corner of Columbia and Market Streets. Candy will be thrown along the route.
This year’s homecoming football game is against Plymouth and will begin at 7 p.m. at the WCHS Fisher Field. Homecoming court will be announced at halftime. Fans are encouraged to wear orange for “Orange Out Night” to show their Tiger spirit. Tickets can be purchased online through the athletic office website or at the gate.
