ELKHART COUNTY — Justin Sanders, 33, Nappanee, died from injuries sustained in a moped-truck accident at 7:08 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. The crash was at CR 46 and CR 9.

Sanders was operating a 2018 TAO moped northbound on CR 9 when he failed to yield the right of way and disregarded the stop sign at the intersection. The moped went directly in front of a 2023 International box truck driven by Anthony Arevalo, 25, South Bend.

Arevalo was traveling westbound on CR 46.

Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.
