Doris J. Bayne
Doris J. Bayne, 88, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Mason Health and Rehab of Warsaw.
She was born on May 7, 1924, to John Leslie Lockridge and Vera Mae (Metz) Lockridge. On Jan. 27, 1943, she was married to Arthur Maxwell Bayne, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Doris was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where she was a member of Winona Lake Free Methodist Church. She along with her late husband were restaurant owner’s in Michigan and Warsaw. Doris also loved to knit and crochet.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Robert A. (Ida) Bayne, Ocean Springs, Miss.; one daughter: Cyndy (Joel) Light, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Kelly (Steve) Carson, Leesburg, Ind.; Doug (Stacie) Light, Warsaw; Candace (Todd) Strang, Virginia; Saundrea Sanburn, Tennessee; six great-grandchildren: Nick, Landon and Alex Light, all of Warsaw; Josh and Jacob Carson, Leesburg; and Sidney Penner, Virginia; one brother: Robert (Rose) Lockridge, Warsaw; and her sister: Lucy Baney, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Gene and Donald Lockridge; and one sister: Mattie Mullins.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Roland Kramer. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
