Goshert Honored By Crossroads League
HARTFORD CITY – Taylor Goshert has been named the Crossroads League Player of the Week.
Goshert, a former standout at Wawasee High School, is a senior at Indiana Wesleyan University.
The 5-8 guard averaged 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game to help her Cougars go 3-0 for the week ending Jan. 4. The Cougars, who are ranked No. 3 in NAIA Division II, are 13-3 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Ryan Benner, a Bethel College senior, was named Player of the Week on the men’s side. The former Mishawaka High School star averaged 29.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game as the Pilots went 3-0.
Benner, a 6-4 guard, poured in 37 points Saturday in a 110-69 conference win at Grace College. Bethel, ranked No. 5 in NAIA Division II, is 14-2 overall and 3-1 in conference action.
