Polar Plunge Benefits Food Pantry
It’s time to get warmed up for the 5th annual Polar Bear Plunge taking place tomorrow at Pie Eyed Petey’s. (See video of last year’s plunge)
The annual event has been raising money and bringing in food donations for the North Webster food pantry for the last 4 years and this year’s plunge is no different. Participants must be at least 18 years old to take the plunge and everyone is asked to bring either monetary donations or donations of nonperishable food items for the food pantry.
Doors open to Pie Eyed Petey’s at 10 a.m. for anyone wanting to attend and sign up to take the icy plunge into Lake Tippecanoe.
North Webster EMS and Kosciusko County Dive Team members will be on hand for any emergencies that may arise. The plunge will take place at about noon.
