Karen Frolick
Karen Frolick, 59, of Akron, Ind., passed away at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at her residence surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 22, 1954, in Rochester, Ind., to Waitsel L. and Adeline (Matzat) Wright. She was a member of the Akron High School Class of 1973.
Karen was presently working at Lau Industries of Rochester, where she had worked since 1996. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge as well as the Moose Lodge both of Rochester. She was an animal lover, especially her horses Molly and Dixie and her Golden Retriever Dakota.
She is survived by a daughter: Kindra (Nathan) Craig, Akron; a son: Shawn Williams (Jennifer), Warsaw, Ind.; three sisters: Sharon (Jay) Heckaman, Silver Lake, Ind.; Shelly (Keith) Davison, Warsaw; Brenda (Tom) Lester, Noblesville, Ind.; three brothers: Bruce Hogue, Akron; Royce (Anita) Wright, Akron; Rodney Wright (Carrie), Akron; five grandchildren: Brant Gerald, Rayne Craig, Ryder Craig Addison Williams and Layton Williams; and a sister-in-law: Janet Wright, Claypool, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Aaron T. Willims; and two brothers: Garry and Larry Wright.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery, Rochester, at a later date.
