Thursday Night Comedy At Eagles Theatre
WABASH – “Thursday Night Comedy: Tim Cavanagh (Live at the Eagles Theatre)” kicks off the season’s three-show Thursday Night Comedy Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. The series will be held in the historic 1905 movie house located in the heart of Wabash. The series, welcomed by Mi Tunes 101.9 and 105.9 The Bash, is sponsored by HR Ideas Unlimited.
Cavanagh is a comedic musician whose parody of “99 Red Balloons” titled “99 Dead Baboons” was the top requested song on the “Dr. Demento” radio show at one time. He has been a regular guest on “The Danny Bonaduce Show,” as well as “The Bob & Tom Show,” heard weekdays in approximately 100 markets nationwide. Cavanagh’s stand-up routines have been featured on ABC, Showtime Network and Comedy Central. He has headlined scores of top comedy clubs, including Catch A Rising Star in Las Vegas, Comedy Connection in Boston, Comedy Corner in West Palm Beach, Fla., Crackers in Indianapolis, Improv in Tampa, Fla., and Zanie’s in Chicago and Nashville, Tenn.
The series continues Thursday, March 13, with the 7:30 p.m. performance of B.I.S.C. B.O.Y.S. (Bold Improvised Sketch Comedy Based On Your Suggestions) Improv Comedy, an audience participation sketch comedy show. On Thursday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. comedian Michael Palascak takes the stage. Palascak is a former Wabash resident who recently appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.
