Take a swing on your family tree and sign up for the Beginning Genealogy Class offered by the North Webster Public Library’s Local History and Genealogy Center.
The four-week class starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, and continues February 11, 18 and 25. In this class, you’ll learn how to get started researching your family tree including the standards for genealogy, how to find information in libraries and online, available resources, research techniques, and more.
The class is taught by LH&GC Director Beth Smith who has been doing genealogy research for many years and will share her experiences and knowledge. The class is free, but advance registration is requested to ensure we have enough class materials available.

Custom Greeting Cards
Keep in touch with current family by sending your own custom-made greeting cards. Learn how to create your own personal cards at the Make and Take Card Class at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. Instructor Hope Beezley provides the materials and will show various ideas and techniques for making customized cards.
Advance registration is required, and there is a $7 class fee. Register at the front desk or call 574-834-7122. This monthly class is offered the first Thursday of every month.
Preschool Story Time
Making new friends is what preschoolers will be doing at Preschool Story Time, which starts at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, and continues every Wednesday morning until April 9. They’ll also enjoy stories, games, finger plays, songs, crafts and lots of fun with Mrs. Pam.

Teens Only Movie Time
Teens are invited to bring their friends to Teens Only Movie Time at NWPL at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. We’ll be showing a romantic comedy fantasy adventure about a stable boy-turned-pirate and his journey to rescue his true love from the evil prince. Bring your own soda and help yourself to all-you-can-eat popcorn. This 98-minute long movie is rated PG. Teens Only Movie Time is only for grades 6-12.
The NWPL extends a big “Thank-You” to the Syracuse-Wawasee Rotary Charitable Foundation for their generous donation to the North Webster Community Public Library to promote children’s reading.
