Evelyn Marie Snively, 85, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Mason Health and Rehab of Warsaw, Ind.

She was born April 2, 1928, in Davenport, Iowa, to Verne Lester Hall and Clara Marie (Napier) Hall. On Oct. 31, 1947, she was married to Howard Max Snively, who survives in Pierceton.

She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 25 years. She worked as a secretary for numerous businesses throughout her life, and was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church of Warsaw. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Evelyn loved spending time with her family, she was a loving wife, mother and grandma.

She is survived by her two sons: Dan (Joan) Snively, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mike (Beth) Snively, Warsaw; two daughters: Dianne (Joe) Lund, Upland, Ind.; Jani (Ed) Strang, Pierceton; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.        

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home with Pastor Jack Worth.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
